| Laxative Uses For the relief of occasional constipation (irregularity). This product generally produces bowel movement in 1/2 to 6 hours. Directions More pleasant when chilled. Adults and children 12 years of age and over: 1/2 to 1 full bottle (10 fl oz). Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 1/3 to 1/2 bottle (5 fl oz). Children under 6 years of age: consult a doctor. Drink a full glass (8 fl oz) of liquid with each dose. The dose may be taken as a single daily dose or in divided doses. Warnings Do not use laxative products when abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting are present unless directed by a doctor. If you have noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that persists over a period of two weeks, consult a doctor before using a laxative. Frequent and continued use of a laxative may cause dependence upon laxatives. Do not use in excess of one week. Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative may indicate a serious condition. Discontinue use and consult your doctor. Do not use this product if you have kidney disease or if you are on a low salt diet unless directed by a doctor. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children.
